Madden 23 Ultimate Team: Best Theme Teams available in MUT (2024)

We've started building our Madden 23 Ultimate Team but now, some players are wondering how to build a budget or a Theme Team.

There are going to be several more cards added to the MUT 23 platform but at the moment, EA and MUT.GG has revealed the ones they think are the best.

Let's go over three of the teams we think will be the Meta in MUT 23.

Latest - Best Budget MUT Cards

If you're looking to build a Madden 23 Ultimate Team budget squad, you can also build a Theme Team at the same time by using Arizona Cardinals cards.

Of the cards recommended by EA and MUT.GG, only one of them is an Arizona Cardinal, Marquise Brown.

There are quite a few cards that we feel are slightly too expensive even for a budget Madden 23 Ultimate Theme Team.

Instead of going for the really expensive 86 OVR Donald Parham we'd recommend another Arizona Cardinal, the 84 OVR Zach Ertz or the 86 OVR Trey McBride, which are far less expensive.

Madden 23 Ultimate Team Best Theme Teams

There are several factors that go into building a strong Theme Team in MUT 23. Using the top cards at each position is the best way to do it.

Skill positions are one of the most important parts as they're the ones that will do most of the scoring for you.

Now, three teams stuck out to us when we first started to see the Madden 23 Ultimate Team cards. The Tennessee Titans, the Buffalo Bills, and the Los Angeles Rams.

Now, let's take a look at a few of the top cards that you can use for each of these Madden 23 teams.

Tennessee Titans Theme Team Cards

We're going to get started by looking at some of the Theme Team cards for the Tennessee Titans in Madden 23 Ultimate Team.

When the top MUT cards were revealed earlier this month, the Titans landed two players in the top ten, one on offense and one on defense.

The first card is the 88 OVR Derrick Henry at the HB position. Henry was one of the most popular cards in MUT last year and will be again in Madden 23 Ultimate Team as well.

The other card is the 88 OVR Kevin Byard at the Free Safety position. This gives you a strong offensive and defensive option for your Madden 23 Ultimate Team.

Los Angeles Rams Theme Team Cards

One team that we expect to see a lot of when we first start playing Madden 23 Ultimate Team is the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams landed three players in the top ten of MUT 23 cards at launch. Two of them are defensive players while one is a great option at the wide receiver spot.

Donald received a "RE" designation on his card which means he can play along the frontline instead of defensive tackle. Adding him to your Madden 23 Ultimate Team will provide a strong interior defense and a great pass rusher.

Coming in with another 88 OVR card is Jalen Ramsey, giving you a great defensive back to have on your team. Just between Ramsey and Donald, you'll have a tough defense to score against.

The last player for the Rams is Cooper Kupp, who leads all of the wide receivers to kick off MUT 23. Kupp's a great option at the slot receiver spot and the good news is there's an 85 OVR Matthew Stafford card to go with it.

Buffalo Bills Theme Team Cards

The last team we think is worth a look is the Buffalo Bills. The Bills only have one player in the top ten Madden 23 Ultimate Team cards at launch.

However, they have a few cards scattered through the top at each position and they have a pretty great playbook too.

Along with Josh Allen coming in as the top quarterback in Madden 23 Ultimate Team with an 88 OVR card is the 85 OVR Stefon Diggs to go along with him.

This will give you a quick scoring offense in MUT 23 by adding a mobile quarterback with a strong arm and his primary wide receiver.
